Bacteria range in size from 0.2 to 5 micron and like protozoa (1 – 15 micron), are efficiently filtered out. Ceramic filters can be mechanically regenerated and the filter capacity is measurable.

The Mini Filter treats drinking water with the proven 0.2 micron, silver impregnated Katadyn ceramic filter element. Excellent for camping, biking, travel, etc., the Mini filters out carriers of dangerous illnesses such as Giardia, Cholera, Typhoid, amebiasis, salmonella and others. Katadyn Combi Water Filter

The Combi Filter has both a 0.2 micron ceramic and activated carbon element; you can use one or both filter elements. This two stage filter system removes all bacteria and protozoa (including Giardia and Crypto) plus it removes chemicals such as iodine, chlorine and potential health hazards such as pesticides and insecticides. Optional sink-top connection kit is available to connect to most any faucet - great for traveling!
