Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System
PureEarth has been offering a complete line of hi-tech home water filters, purifiers, and softeners since 1989 - on the internet since 1996. We're an established, profitable, debt-free company!
We purchase top-quality NSF certified components from respected industry-leading suppliers to assemble our reverse osmosis systems. This allows us to sell our reverse osmosis systems at down-to-earth factory-direct prices - UP TO 40% OFF LIST PRICE. There are no "hidden" costs - shipping is FREE on orders of $50 or more (anywhere in continental U.S.), only $7.95 on orders less than $50! For orders to Alaska and Hawaii, call for quote.
Certain areas of the country have a high mineral content in their water.
When the concentration of these dissolved solids get above 250 mg/l (ppm),
the water can take on a bitter taste. Also, many people are concerned about high
sodium, fluoride, nitrates, chlorine, chemicals, radionuclides, and even
pharmaceuticals and prescription drugs that might be in tap water. Since ordinary filters do not remove
minerals from the water, a Reverse Osmosis system is recommended. Reverse
Osmosis is a process of forcing tap water through a semi-permeable membrane,
leaving dissolved solids and other impurities behind. These impurities are
rinsed away, resulting in clean, clear, great tasting water. This same
process is used by many of the bottled water companies. Anything made with reverse osmosis
water tastes better: coffee, juices, soups, pasta. Ice cubes are clearer and harder and
free of "funny taste" (ask for a free ice maker tee fitting when ordering). If you are unsure of
your water's mineral content (hardness), call your water department, or call us
for a free in-home test strip.
WHY SUCH A HIGH PRODUCTION MEMBRANE? While most reverse osmosis systems use a 10 or 12 gallon per day membrane, we offer 50, 75 or 100 gallon per day production rates. Why? While 12 gallons per day sounds like plenty of water, it's the production time you need to consider: it takes the 12 gallon per day (gpd) membrane over 2 hours to make one gallon of water, while it takes our 50 gpd membrane about 30 minutes to make one gallon, the 75 gpd membrane about 20 minutes to make one gallon and the 100 gpd membrane only 15 minutes (@ 65 psi and 77 F)! Most storage tanks only hold about 2 gallons of water, so you can see that during heavy use times (company) you could be out of water for some time with a slow membrane! The GE/Osmonics membrane has been certified by the NSF (standard 58) for the following contaminants: Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium (Hexavalent), Chromium (Trivalent), Copper, Cysts, Turbidity, Fluoride, Lead, Radium 226/228, Selenium, and TDS.
Reverse osmosis systems are not created equal - heres what makes our 4-stage system a great choice:
* - Total tank volume, based on industry-standard rating. Actual capacity of any bladder-type storage tank is less than the rated volume. At 60 psi, it is 60% of total; at 50 psi, it is 50% of total; at 40 psi, it is 40% of total.
Reverse osmosis system space requirements: Main unit is 18" tall x 14" wide x 6" deep, storage tank is 9" diameter X 20" tall (a 3' tube connects them - they can be on opposite sides under your cabinet). 5 year warranty on hardware, 2 years prorated on membrane.
COMPARE FEATURES! COMPARE PRICES! You will find our reverse osmosis system to be an outstanding value!
All of our under counter water filters are placed out of the way, under the sink. They connect to the cold water
line
with an
"EZ faucet connector" (not a
leak-prone saddle valve) and dispense water through an attractive long reach LEAD-FREE* solid brass
premium faucet (not a cheap plastic flip-lever).
Quick-connect fittings make for fast, easy installation. A 1/2" hole is all that
is needed for the faucet stud (all series), but a cover plate is included to
accomodate larger pre-drilled holes (such as a vegetable sprayer hole).
Our under counter filters now include a
PREMIUM SERIES upscale faucet
at NO EXTRA CHARGE! This elegant lead-free* solid brass faucet features a smooth
quarter turn handle with a ceramic seat for a lifetime of service - no flimsy

ALL CHROME color scheme (pictured at left), it comes in CHROME WITH BRASS
ACCENTS,
BRUSHED NICKEL (stainless steel look), WHITE, ALMOND, BISQUE, BLACK, RED and
POLISHED BRASS. Click

While an reverse osmosis system will produce water at 40 PSI, 60 PSI or above provides optimum water quality and production speed. The 6800 Aquatec Booster Pump is available to increase inlet pressure (includes tank shut-off valve).
Optional
Aquatec Delivery Pump is available for remote installations (such as basements).
Only $149.00.
NOTE: Water hardness of over 10 grains per gallon (170 mg/l) can cause the membrane to fail prematurely - you should consider a water softener as a pretreatment if your water is this hard. Click HERE for more information.
